This course is rooted in the understanding that most of the negative behaviors that a patient may manifest can be attributed to the disease progression and the impact it is having on the patient’s brain and emotions. Students will be provided with a toolkit of communication and care techniques that they can use when working with agitated patients and patients with advanced Alzheimer's or Dementia symptoms.
