This course prepares caregivers to be able to care for patients with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia. Offers an in-depth introduction to patient assessments and what should be included in them. Students will be taught about the most important goals when caring for Alzheimer's and dementia patients, namely the goal of helping to give patients the best life experience as is possible given the circumstances. Also included in this course are tips for caregivers on promoting a healthy and balanced diet for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients as well as tips for caregivers to encourage the patient to maintain social relationships.
